Private Hypnobabies Classes

Some couples may prefer to have a private class with an instructor. If you would prefer to learn with just you and your birth partner in the comfort of your own home, this could be a wonderful option.

Contact Rachel about private class enrollment and for instructor availability. Please note that if your house is more than 20 minutes away from Chattanooga, we will need to discuss options on how to accommodate everyone involved.

Private Class Fees

The fee for a private class is $600, which is higher than our Group Class fee. The reason for this is that it takes as much time and preparation to teach a private class as it does a group class with 6 couples.

There is a $75 deposit required to order your materials, and a balance of $525 is due at the first class meeting.

Why take a Private Class vs. Home Study?

The benefits of attending a private Hypnobabies Class include:
  • More detailed information on every subject. You'll get the added knowledge of an experienced doula with "local" information.
  • Your questions answered by our instructors who are knowledgeable about childbirth, and trained in hypnosis.
  • Additional handouts.
  • 5 Hypnobabies scripts in a booklet for use in daily Hypnobabies practice with your partner, along with recorded versions.
  • Demonstrations of all Hypnobabies hypnosis techniques.
  • Depth assessment of each student’s hypnosis levels by the Hypnobabies instructor.
  • Phone consultations with your Hypnobabies Instructor, as desired.
  • Prenatal exercise demonstration and practice.
  • Hands-on training for Birth Partners, who receive a “Birth Partner’s Guide” booklet for use during birthing, and the Birth Partner’s “Relax & Feel Confident” hypnosis script/MP3.
  • Demonstration and practice of the “Abdominal Lift & Tuck” to avoid back labor and to encourage a posterior baby to turn.
  • Optimal Fetal Positioning and pelvic balancing explanations and demonstrations to decrease posterior presentation.
  • A Birth Rehearsal in Class # 6, which is invaluable for helping each Hypno-Mom fully understand and experience their Hypnobabies techniques in a simulated birthing scenario. The Birth Rehearsal is also great practice for the Birth Partner to use his deepening cues and other techniques and feel more prepared to support mom  during labor. This helps build the confidence level of Mom and the Birth Partner tremendously.
  • "Becoming Dad" handouts especially designed to help dads consider their own needs and changes as they transition into fatherhood,  and support their partner during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
